Supervision Meeting of Coaches

Headed by Magdalena Vokáčová

Supervision is a professional meeting of coaches. It is aimed at all coaches who have completed any type of coaching training and wish to develop their professional skills. It is also open to coaching trainees and those interested in coaching who are currently deciding whether coaching is an interesting enough step on their life’s journey. The maximum number of persons interested in coaching with no previous experience in coaching or a similar field is 5.

Under the guidance of Magdalena we will look at situations you have faced in practice and explore ways to handle them. We will share coaching experience and at the same time we will get feedback on our own coaching. Come and try the role of a coach, client and supervisor, try out a Balint Group, recharge and get new incentives and enjoyment from coaching.

What is a “Balint Group”?

The beginnings of the Balint Groups date back to the 1950s. Founded by doctor and psychoanalyst Michael Balint, groups concentrate on the relationship between an expert and a client. Primarily the groups were intended for general practitioners and medical staff, but they have been successfully applied in other helping professions.

Benefits Derived by Coaches

Thanks to a Balint Group, coaches can extend their professional competence with a new dimension. The Balint Programme brings the possibility of gaining a better understanding of relationships with more difficult clients, and provides an insight into one’s own working methods. Consequently, participants will learn methods, possibilities and strategies on how to handle cases, which they have been at a loss with.
